1924 :\u00a0The Basque and Bayonne History Museum opens its doors.\u00a0The first edition of Bulletin du Mus\u00e9e Basque (BMB – Bulletin of the Basque Museum) is published.
1956 :\u00a0SAMB<\/a>, the Society of Friends of the Basque Museum becomes a reality. It is a non-profit association under the French law of 1901 and contributes to the influence of the Museum by:
– publishing the Bulletin du Mus\u00e9e Basque<\/a> (Basque Museum Bulletin), a biannual journal in French and Euskara that explores history, society and Basque culture. All articles are accessible using our search engine<\/a>\u00a0(in French).
– organizing events<\/a>: conferences, guided tours of the Museum, exhibitions and themed outings
– participating in Museum life especially by developing its collections through patronage and philanthropy<\/a>.\u00a0
Above all the SAMB is enriched by the diversity of its members who act together in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
